Volunteers Wanted for Community Flood Signage Scheme

Alongside the Parish Council, I am looking to establish a Community Flood Signage Scheme for the village to ensure that we can close roads in a timely manor when significant flood events occur.

During Storm Babet, there were significant challenges around getting the High Street and Mill Lane junction closed due to the scale of the response required around the county. The scheme promotes road safety, but also aims to stop vehicles creating bow waves which can cause further damage to property and distress to residents.
