St John’s (blue) Hut in Forest Corner Car Park Closure

The RSPB have contacted the Parish Council to let us know that that the car park for the St John’s (blue) Hut in Forest Corner at Sherwood Forest will be closed from Monday 6^th November to Friday 10^th November.

This is to enable the storage of material required for resurfacing part of the bridleway route around the cricket pitch and into Sherwood Forest. The map below shows the area to be resurfaced (marked in pink). It is being carried out in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council and Via East Midlands.

There will also be some general disruption to the Forest Corner area with moving machinery as the works take place through the week.  This is essential work to improve the surface of this route and to make it as accessible as possible for all visitors.
