Edwinstowe in Bloom
New planting schemes have been developed over the last few months thanks to the newly formed Edwinstowe in Bloom Group. The group is comprised of volunteers who have been very busy creating flower beds, using plants donated by residents of Edwinstowe including donations from Businesses such as Pets Paradise (Next to the library), the local CO-OP and the Market Garden. Beds have been created by volunteers outside each of the Four Edwinstowe entrance signs, with further beds along Mansfield Road, Paddock Close, East Lane and the High Street.
Plants can be donated and dropped off outside the Main Village Hall Gates, these are then collected by in Bloom volunteers.
Edwinstowe in Bloom is also working with other organisations and businesses including BT who have started to undertake maintenance of their Edwinstowe Hub and Woodhead Group at Edwinstowe House who have kindly allowed volunteers to sow wildflowers.
Edwinstowe in Bloom is looking for new volunteers to assist with developing further planting schemes and to water / maintain existing ones. To get involved, contact can be made through the website / Facebook and by speaking to volunteers.
